The Ramona community is located in an unincorporated area of inland north San Diego County, and is the gateway into the Back Country. Ramona, once the "Turkey Capital of the World", is no longer very oriented towards agriculture. The turkey ranches are gone, as are most of the chicken ranches, but driving up Main Street the country flavor is still here. It's easy to be misled. Hiding behind the tall eucalyptus trees and through small hills and valleys are thousands of homes, and in those homes families ready to purchase your goods and services.
